Meet the host

Care Monique

Care Monique in her full millennial personality is a funny yet real type of host. A native of Detroit, MI, currently residing in Grand Rapids, MI, she is a full time entrepreneur and business coach in her professional life. Care is a wife, dog mom, sister, and friend. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and truly enjoys serving her community.

Care began her grief journey in 1990 at the age of 1 (if we're being honest) losing her father before she could ever get to know him. In 2021 after losing her mother unexpectedly, grief took on an entirely new form for her. Care's grief journey is unique much like everyone else's where as she chooses to be open, honest, and reflective in ways that helps her process. Along the way, Care has learned that her journey has been a place of healing and help for others. She started the "Today In Grief" podcast in June of 2023 after seeing the need within the grief community for folks to share daily truths.
